Dr. Copertino is the owner and Director of Back in Action and has been practicing chiropractic since 1997 after graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic. She started her specialization in sports therapy early on by completing a three year post doctoral program in Chiropractic Rehabilitation as well as gaining certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NASM and in FASM, functional movement screens.
Her interest in soft tissue therapy led her to be the first Full Body certified ART (Active Release Technique®) provider in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania. Recently Dr. Copertino completed a three day workshop learning techniques to remove or soften scar tissue which has proven quite valuable to her post surgical patients and those with chronic muscular injury. In 2013, she completed a year long fellowship in 3 dimensional chain reaction biomechanics and muscle function with the Gray Institute in Adrian, MI. She holds the title of Nike Golf Performance Specialist and has helped several professional golfers improve their performance.
Dr. Copertino lives in the Lehigh Valley with her two children and dog and enjoys outdoor activities, reading, writing, and traveling. She continues to further her education in the field of sports therapy and hopes to help as many people as possible to improve their lives by improving their performance.
